ABOUT US
Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer
The Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer is Alberta Cancer Foundation’s signature fundraising event, bringing together a community of riders, volunteers, and supporters united by a common goal: a cancer-free future.
Originally launched in 2009 under the banner of the Ride to Conquer Cancer, this inspiring event has raised over $100 million to date for the Alberta Cancer Foundation. In 2021, the event rebranded to the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer, with a refreshed identity that gives it a uniquely Albertan flavor while continuing to support the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s crucial work in cancer research, care, and education.
Held annually in communities around Alberta, the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer offers something for everyone, with a variety of routes designed to suit different levels of cycling abilities. Whether you’re riding the Short (65 km), the Most Popular (100 km), or the Challenge (150 km), or even participating virtually, you can support Albertans facing cancer in a way that works for you.
Every year, 1,700+ riders from ages 16 to 85 gather for this life-changing event, creating a powerful community bound by shared experiences and a desire to support those affected by cancer. Your commitment helps fund critical research and care at Alberta’s cancer centers, ensuring that current and future generations have access to the very latest treatments and support.
Alberta Cancer Foundation
In the darkest moments of a cancer journey, we are the light. The Alberta Cancer Foundation exists to create more hope and more moments for all Albertans facing cancer, no matter where they live or the type of cancer they are facing. We surround patients and their families with love and support, while empowering the best and brightest to tackle the most difficult, challenging problems we face. As a single community of committed, passionate Albertans focused on a single goal, we are relentless in our pursuit of bringing the best cancer care and research possible to our province.
Together, we are creating more moments for more Albertans facing cancer.
MEET THE TEAM

Krystal clements
I’m Krystal, Director of the Tour and Community Engagement, and I’ve had the privilege of being with this event and our incredible participants for a decade now! My absolute favorite part of this experience is getting to connect with so many inspiring people, all coming together for such an important cause. In my role, I keep this ship on course—making sure we hit our targets and are always moving toward our shared goal: bringing more hope to Albertans facing a cancer diagnosis. I oversee every detail of the event to ensure we deliver the most impactful fundraising and cycling experience anyone has ever seen. It is a true honor to do this alongside all our amazing stakeholders. After 10 years with the Tour, I finally decided to pick up cycling a few years ago (better late than never!), and now my bike, Frankenstein, and I are inseparable. Maybe one day I’ll invest in a new one, but for now, we’re making it work! When I’m not controlling the chaos of the event planning world, you’ll find me spending time with my two amazing daughters, enjoying being empty nesters with my husband and our dog Bella out at Sylvan Lake, or perhaps out on the golf course kicking my husband’s butt at a round!

Allie pearce
My name is Allie, and I have the privilege of managing the Tour. If I had to sum up my role, I’d say I’m part air traffic controller, part ringleader, and part cheerleader-in-chief. I’ve been with the Tour for eight years, and to me, it’s more than just an event, it’s a community built on determination, heart, and a shared commitment to creating more moments for Albertans facing a cancer diagnosis. I coordinate participants, sponsors, vendors, marketing, and logistics to ensure everything comes together for a magical weekend. From the moment participants register to the moment they cross the finish line (and every email, phone call, training ride, fundraising milestone, and pep talk in between), I’m here to keep the energy high and the experience unforgettable. When I’m not busy rallying riders and championing our cause, you’ll find me all decked out in pink, cruising around on my matching pink bike! I love spending time with my dog Ziggy, my cat Gucci, and my fiancé. I’m also always planning the next celebration, there’s nothing I love more than throwing a good party!

Melissa mckenzie
I’m Melissa! As Marketing Manager of Events, my role is to feed the creative engine behind the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer’s marketing magic! I have the rewarding job of bringing the Tour to life through bold campaigns and compelling stories. From crafting email and social content to managing media and branding, I make sure every piece of communication reflects the heart of the Tour. When I’m not busy turning ideas into reality, I’m at home cooking up new recipes and keeping up with my three energetic boys. I also have a passion for art and when inspiration strikes, you’ll find me adding a splash of color to the digital canvas. Whether I’m behind a screen or on the go, I bring creativity, energy, and a whole lot of fun to everything I do!

Christine olijnyk
My name is Christine, and as the Corporate Engagement Officer for the Tour, I wear many helmets—relationship builder, problem solver, and professional hype squad! With a background in event management, I’m here to make sure you feel supported, connected, and ready to roll. To me, the Tour isn’t just a ride, it’s a movement. My job is to ensure every rider knows they’re part of something bigger. Whether you need fundraising tips, a problem solved, or just a fresh dose of encouragement, I’ve got you covered. Together, we’ll celebrate your impact and make the journey as rewarding as crossing the finish line. Your dedication today is the hope that leads us to a brighter, cancer-free tomorrow.
When I’m not cheering on our riders, you’ll find me seeking out new experiences. I’ve explored every continent except Antarctica (one day!), and if you spot me on the Calgary pathways with my main guy Doug, be sure to say hi (I promise he doesn’t bite)! I’m currently training for two half-marathons in 2025, one in Brooklyn and one in Valencia!

Kirstyn valentine
I’m Kirstyn, your Community Engagement Coordinator! I like to think of my role as being a go-getter—I’m here to support every one of our amazing community teams, build incredible partnerships, and grow this movement, all while making sure you have the best experience leading up to the Tour each year. As a farm kid from Sundre, I’m no stranger to hard work, and I’ll always give my all to ensure we’re doing the most we can for Albertans facing cancer. Whether you need help brainstorming fundraising events, answering questions, providing support, or just having a good chat—I’m here for it. Even though I’m new to the team, this movement has already changed my life in the best way possible. And now, I’m officially adding cycling to my (very long) list of hobbies—so watch out, I’ll be pedaling right alongside you!
When I’m not connecting with our incredible community, you’ll find me looking for my next adventure, whether it’s hiking, camping, traveling to new countries, running, or snowboarding. I rarely say ‘no’ to a new hobby (though I’ll admit, I’m pretty bad at poker!).
