Packet Pick-up

Packets are available for pick-up one Online Check-in is complete. Packets must be picked up in advance of the event and its contents are required in order to participate in the 2025 Tour Alberta for Cancer. This includes: bike plate, helmet sticker and wristband(s). Packets can be picked up for teammates or family members only if their OCI and fundraising have been completed prior to pick-up. Please provide 24-hour notice for large group pick-ups.
Calgary Packet Pick-up is available June 24 - July 16, Monday - Friday from 9am - 4:30pm. Extended pick-up hours available on July 9 & 16 (util 7:30pm), shortened hours on July 17 (until 2:30pm)

Waiver and Release
I, the participant, on behalf of myself, my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, representatives and assigns, hereby forever waive all claims and release, discharge and hold harmless the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Alberta Health Services (the “Organizers”), and their representatives and agents including, without limitation, Event sponsors, Event directors, Event contractors, Event producers, municipal, provincial, federal governing agencies, park governing agencies, and all other entities associated or involved in the organization or staging of the Event, including, but not limited to, volunteers, third party vendors, all venues in which Events or segments of Events are held, and the members, officers, directors, employees, representatives, assigns, affiliates, and agents of any of the above (collectively, the “Releasees”); for any and all losses, costs, causes of action, claims or damages, including any claim for damages for personal injury to my person or personal property damage howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with my taking part in the Event, notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by, without limitation, the negligence, breach of contract or breach of any statutory or other duty of care of the Organizer, or any of the Releasees, mistakes or errors in judgment of any kind.
The 2025 Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer (the “Event”)
The Event is a charitable cycling event taking place from July 19-20, 2025. Participants will cycle through various routes across Alberta, raising funds to support cancer research and patient care. The routes include three distances on Saturday: short (~70km) (“Short”), long (~100 km) (“Long”) and, exclusively on Saturday, Challenge (~160 km) for advanced cyclists only; and two options on Sunday, Short and Long (collectively, the “Routes”). The Route selected is at entirely at the discretion of the participant.
Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that the Event is a test of a person's physical and mental limits and that I am aware of the possible risks, dangers and hazards associated with the Event. I hereby assume all possible risks, dangers and hazards associated with the Event which include, but are not limited to: physical exertion, traffic hazards, potential accidents, property loss, equipment damage, changing weather conditions, natural objects and the possibility of physical injury to myself and other participants such as muscle strain, broken bones, concussion, soft tissue damage, infectious diseases, cardiac arrest, etc, including the possible risk of severe or fatal injury. I certify that I am mentally and physically fit, will have sufficiently trained for participation in the Event, and have not been advised against participation by a qualified health professional. I acknowledge that I will not ride under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances. I acknowledge that the Organizers, permitting me to participate in the Event, accept my statements on this release waiver.
If riding an electric bike, I agree that it adheres with all provincial laws, including max power of 500 watts, maximum speed of 32 km/h, and that it is pedal-assisted and does not use a throttle.
Fees and Donations
I hereby agree that in the event of the cancellation of the Event due to a storm, rain, winds, inclement weather, or other "Acts of God" conditions, any registration fee shall not be refunded.
In the case of cancellation, any registration fee that may have paid will be converted to a donation and will be tax-receiptable. I understand that all donations and registration fees processed by the Alberta Cancer Foundation are non-refundable and non-transferable, even if I do not participate in the Event
Equipment
I acknowledge that I am responsible for the correct operation of any equipment/property used during the event. I acknowledge that if I choose to not operate this equipment/property in a safe manner, I am at a much greater risk of injury.
Media Release
I hereby grant full permission to the Organizers to use any photographs, motion pictures, videotapes, recordings or any other record of this Event for any purpose including, without limitation, commercial use.
Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA)
I consent to having the information in my Event registration collected. I consent to having my personal information (name, date of birth, my personal contact information, and emergency contact information) as may be applicable and relevant event logistic and management information provided for Event purposes only. Certain personal information may be made available to government departments and agencies under appropriate legislative authority. Personal information is protected under PIPA.
I consent to receiving communication from the Alberta Cancer Foundation and understand that I may withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.
I hereby affirm that I am sixteen (16) years of age or older, I have read this document, and I understand its contents. I acknowledge that I am signing this waiver voluntarily and that if I am under the age of 18 I require parental consent, and must be accompanied at the event by a parent or guardian.
IN SIGNING THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE, I AM NOT RELYING ON ANY ORAL, WRITTEN OR VISUAL STATEMENTS OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS MADE BY THE RELEASEES IN ANY FORM OF MEDIA. I HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS AGREEMENT AND I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT OR BY REGISTERING ONLINE I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE, WHICH I, OR MY HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS AND ASSIGNEES, MAY HAVE AGAINST THE ORGANIZERS AND RELEASEES.
I agree that the Release and the agreements that contains will be governed exclusively in all respects by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta. I hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Alberta, and I agree that no other courts can exercise jurisdiction over the agreements and claims referred to herein. Any litigation to enforce this agreement shall be instituted in the province of Alberta and nowhere else.
