Strathmore Stampede Grounds
Packets:
Jerseys have arrived and rider packets are available for pick-up at the Alberta Cancer Foundation office in Calgary (Unit 300, 1620 29 St NW).
July 4 – July 16th, Monday-Friday, open 9AM-4:30PM.
July 9th & 16th, open until 7:30PM.
July 17th, open until 2:30PM only.
New this year, there will also be limited pick-up options at the Alberta Foundation Office in Edmonton (Sun Life Plaza – Unit 710, 10123 99 St NW Edmonton).
July 9th, 10th & 16th only, open 9AM-4:30PM.
**Please note, Edmonton riders must complete OCI before we can arrange pick-up for your packet. You will get a call from our team with instructions and availability.
Your packet contains everything you need to participate in the Tour including your bike plates, helmet sticker, welcome letter, wristbands, Tour jersey and ‘Get in Gear’ swag.
REMINDER – online check-in (OCI) must be completed in order to pick-up your packet, and your packet is mandatory to participate in the Tour. We will call all Edmonton riders who complete OCI with packet pick-up details.
Location:
Our host venue is once again the Strathmore Stampede Grounds where you can find the start and finish line, self-camping and all the fun festivities.
Route:
Each day, you will have the choice of route distances: a short route (approximately 65 KM), a long route (approximately 100 KM), and on Saturday only, an extended challenge route (approximately 160 KM) for advanced cyclists. Routes will change each day, allowing you to explore more.
NOTE – all distances are approximate and routes are subject to change.
Bike drop-off:
Bike drop-off is available on Friday afternoon starting at 1pm. Secured bike storage will be available for Friday and Saturday night.
REMINDER – you will need to attach your bike plates and show your rider wristband in order to drop your bike off. Bike plates and wristbands are found in your packets which will be available for pick-up after June 24.
Camping:
Self-camping is available on-site at the Strathmore Stampede Grounds, so bring your tent or trailer! Camping is available for registered riders only on both July 18th and 19th with shower and washroom facilities. There are no hook-ups or dumping stations. Food and drink will not be provided on July 18th.
If you are using a trailer, it must be registered via the Online Check-In process. More details coming soon!
NOTE – if you are camping at the Strathmore Campground (separate from the North 40 event camp site), you do not need to register your tent, trailer or RV in advance.
Festivities:
Our beloved Saturday Evening Festival will be at the Strathmore Stampede Grounds with great food, drinks, and entertainment. We also have our celebratory BBQ Sunday afternoon at the finish line.
We look forward to providing an elevated experience for riders with improved meal offerings, new and returning musical guests and exciting entertainment elements.
Additional guest meals for Saturday night and Sunday BBQ are available for $20 per meal, with advance purchase only. Call the Tour team to purchase now until July 3.
